Ok, I told you I'd do it, and now I'm doing it!!! This is a list of why Tophaang, and Zutara won't work out!!!
Reason why Tophaang won't work-
Reason #1- First off, Toph doesn't seem like the type of girl who would be completely swept off her feet by someone.
Reason #2- Did you SEE how Aang and Toph were screaming at each other on The Chase? If you tell someone you love them by screaming and fighting with them, then these two must have it bad for each other!!
Reason #3- I'm pretty sure that by the evidence in The Serpent's Pass, Toph has a small crush on Sokka, not Aang.
Reason #4 - Just because Toph and Aang are both 12 years-old, does NOT mean that they need to be together, so get over yourself.
Reason #5 - The only reason this entire ship was started, was because the Zutarians thought they could pair Aang off with Toph, and then that would leave room for Zutara.
Reason #6 - I'm pretty sure that if Toph ACTUALLY had a crush on Aang, or Aang a crush on Toph, we would have seen some hardcore evidence by now, like we saw from Toph for Sokka.
Reason #7 - I'm sorry, but I'm sure alot of people could agree with me when I say, everything about this ship is just WRONG.
Reasons why Zutara won't work-
Reason #1 - This ship only started because a bunch of idiotic people thought that Zuko liked Katara, because he "flirted" with her to get information out of her. He didn't flirt, and even if he did, it only make sense! I would do the same thing! Sometimes ya gotta "flirt" so try and get em to talk!
Reason #2 - Zuko and Katara haven't shown ANY signs WHATSOEVER, of having a romantic attraction.
Reason #3 - If you loved someone, would you call them a peasant and then knock them unconcious and steal their best friend?
Reason #4 - Just because Zuko and Katara are fire and water(opposites),doesn't mean they need to hook up. On the contrary, it's all the more reason they DON'T need to be together.
Reason #5- That damn saying,"Opposites attract", is not always right. As a matter of fact, the quote itself is total and complete bullshit in most cases.
Reason #6 - Katara and Zuko are NOT Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang complete each other, they ARE NOT OPPOSITES.
Reason #7 - Just because Zuko and Katara have both lost their moms, does NOT mean they need to be together.
Reason #8 - If Zuko and Katara got together, and Zuko became Fire Lord, could you HONESTLY see Katara as Fire Lady? I don't think so! It wouldn't even work! Fire Lady has to be a FIRE BENDER, or otherwise it'd be Water Lady!Besides, the royal life is not for Katara; she needs adventure. (that is, if the wife of the Fire Lord IS called Fire Lady...which I doubt it is, but that's what most fans call it)
Reason #9 - Just because the preveiw for the season 2 finale showed Katara touching Zuko's scar, DOES NOT mean anything romantic will happen. You can't form a romantic relationship in one episode.
That's all my brainstorming mind can come up with at the moment....anybody got any to add?
